Korean Ice-cream? Yum!

It was around 8:30 today when my friend came over today eating ice-cream and handing another kind of ice-cream to my face. It surprised me, and for a moment, I didn't know what it was, until my friend told me. It was wrapped nicely with the picture of what the ice-cream looks like and what it looks like from the inside...along with Korean characters on it.

The picture from the wrapper showed that it was a fish, and inside the fish ice-cream was vanilla ice-cream with red bean filling. I thought that it looked weird, but I was tempted to try it. So I opened up the wrapper carefully and realize that the fish was so cute. I took a look at it, bit into it and noticed that the fish outside layer is made out of those ice-cream cones like material (sorry, I don't know what other word to substitute it for).

I only wish that I have a better camera, so you guys can see the actually wording. But yeah, this was before I opened the wrapper.

This is for when I had opened the wrapper and placed the ice-cream on top of it:

And this is what happened when I ate about half of it..as you can see, the picture on the wrapper was right..vanilla ice-cream on the bottom and red bean on top.

It was good, and I liked the fact that it wasn't sweet at all, the flavors balanced out well :D That sure made my day. Until next time...good night :)

I like to bake :)

Yes it's true. I like to bake, but also decorating :) It's not a surprise to me, because I have been decorating anything that I can get my hands on...but I found out this year that I lost my inspiration. So I'm, waiting for new inspiration. I hope that it comes fast. haha.

So on with baking...I still remember my first time ever baking on my own, it was about two years ago and I first made a batch of cupcakes. Yep...it was just like yesterday. As the days went buy, I started to learn how to make more things such as cookies and cakes. And trust me, not all of them came out perfect. Most of the people from school knows me as someone who loves to bake and decorate though. I used to make cupcakes and decorate them for each and every holiday...I have to say that I got bored, or either lazy, because I no longer do that. But I think that it's just a fact, I'm growing up and don't find it that great anymore..but I still like to bake :D just not for all the holidays :P

I'll just show you some of the things that I have made over the years.

Trust me, I baked a lot more, but I never got a chance to take a picture of them, sometimes, things come out better than the other, but they still taste the same :P So yeah, most of my baking that got a moment of fame before they were eaten. <3

Fruits, fruits, fruits & more fruits

Have you heard of the song "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy"? from The Wiggles? I sure have! I use to watch it on Disney Channel..LMAO. But yeah, I find that some of their songs are actually catchy..although its really annoying, but on to what I did today..guess what? Yes, I made fruit salad. I always find the term to be weird...but ehhh..I don't know what else to call it :P

I made fruit salad that had strawberries, cantaloupe, purple grapes, watermelon and kiwis. I had to cut them up in chucks..well not the grapes. So this is what it looks like when they were all incorporated in a large bowl.

So..I thought that fruit salad was a little boring..okay, a little more like too boring. So I went to the store to buy the little sponge cakes that they sell along with reddi wip cream :D And minutes later, this was my creation.

I always wanted to try this and I'm glad that I did, everything came out good and the way that I want it. This is good for parties or for a hot summer day. Remember to eat a lot of fruits! They are good for you! :D

My first attempt to making Kimbap

What is Kimbap to begin with? Well...kimbap is like a sushi roll, with no fresh fish in it, that's how I describe it. It is made with steamed white rice, and ingredients such as: fish cake, fried eggs, carrots, spinach and much more. Oh, and don't forget gim, which is sheets of dried seaweed :)

I made my kimbap within 5 minutes. I used little ingredients and did it fast. I only put in three ingredients, such as steamed white rice, eggs and shredded dried pork that I got at the Asian super market.

So first I placed a sushi roller mat that is made out of bamboo on top on a cutting board. This is what the mat looks like:

Next, I took steamed white rice and had put it on top...I had even it out for it to cover half of the gim. Like this:

Then next up, I added the shredded dried pork all over the rice, I had put it on the rice evenly...and the shredded dried pork comes in a container like this:

And then next, I had fired some eggs and had put it in the middle of the gim that had rice and the shredded pork on it. Sorry I don't have a picture for this part...but then yeah, you then roll it and then cut it :D

This is my outcome:

It came out pretty good, but not as pretty and neat as I thought..but I learned what I did wrong, and I'm gonna do more next time :) If you can, you should learn this too, its fast and easy, but also tastes great! <3

Hello Blogger, we meet once again.

So...I haven't been on here since last summer and I forgot a lot of things from here. Lol. But it's okay, I learned how to do things once again. I think that I might get back to blogging, but I'm not for sure yet. One...I'm back because Rayvonn wanted to start blogging again and second is because I'm finally off for spring break (doing the happy dance) haha.

Well to start of talking...the Friday before going off for spring break..I won 3rd place in the science fair. I got a medal, a pin, a snack bag, and an award ^_^ After that when I got home...I got a mail form CSUSB saying that I got accepted into their E.O.P program so that got me really happy :D

Then next, going onto Saturday...I went to the "Citrus Harvest Festival" held by Highland. I went as a Key Club member to help pass out fliers for a fundraiser that we are having. We passed out 300 fliers, sold 40 bracelets and had a fun time. Although it would have been better if there was no wind. haha. But here is a picture of some of us from Key Club that went on Saturday! :D

From the left: Nina (that's me), Victor, Brandon (In the duck suit), Bhavin and Rita

After Rita and I came back home to my house. My dad just got the two apple trees in our font yard cut, so Rita, my brother and I, went outside to cut the tree into smaller pieces and threw them in piles. It was hard work, but for some reason, it was pretty fun. haha.
After we got done more than half-way through, we went to go have a "Girl's Night Out" with our friend Diana. We went to go eat frozen yogurt at Nubi's, it was my first time..and it was delicious!

The one with the sprinkles was mines and the other one was Rita's..I didn't get to take a picture of Diana's though.

Next up, we went shopping and then hit Krikorian Movie Theater to watch the movie "Alice In Wonderland 3-D" It was so awesome. Lol. Especially since I been wanting to watch that since Transformers 2 came out. It was really good and that really made my day, so all in all, it was a busy and fun day! :) I'll update again :D Byes for now.
